Sleeping in a den full of other cats was something that the little snowy apprentice was still struggling to get used to. After her days of lakeside isolation, the light snoring, occasional shuffle, and late-night conversations had been proving to be quite bothersome for her while trying to adjust. She supposed there was some kind of security to be found in it all, if she could convince herself that those surrounding her were all right at the end of the day. Perhaps this time it was the physical exhaustion that lulled her into a deeper sleep, tucked in by the blanket of warm bodies that inhabited the den and proper shelter over her head. If nothing else, the warmth of the den and security of the camp as a whole was much nicer than the nights of uncertainty she spent on her own.
Things weren't quite perfect though, and it was too soon to say she was all well adapted to clan life, and so the light brush across her nose was met with a sleepy and bleary-eyed quiet hiss as she lifted her head from slumber. Once pale grays blinked a few times to cast away the sleep she so much wanted to sink back into, she was eye to eye with Badgerpaw. Instantly she was reminded of the way the other's claws had raked across her face and the explosive fight they had from the gathering. Ghostpaw was mildly confused about the encounter and sparring as a whole, but it seemed to be a normal part of this clan life thing and, well, Badgerpaw wasn't trying to hurt her in this moment and that would have to be good enough. If anything, the gleam in her mentor's eye after she wandered back to him bruised and bloody was more than enough. She had done well.
"Swim?" The small apprentice echoed as she rose to all fours, back arching in a delightful little stretch. Thought crossed her face for a few moments, although she had not familiarized herself with the entirety of the moon cats' territory there was one place in particular in which she had come from and knew for a fact held water. "Oh, we swim at lake." A little nod and she was already walking off, as if she hadn't quite understood that it was a simple question but took it as a statement. She only made it a few paces though before she stopped and looked over her shoulder, head tipped inquisitively to one side. "Only us?"
It was no secret the newcomer had been seen bounding after Witheredrose every day since she had arrived in their camp. Up until today she had been his shadow and had not ventured back out into the wilds without him.
